The Knight Environmental Limited approach is to assess risk and potential liabilities at all stages of a project, which ensures firstly all requirements have been satisfactorily met, and the most cost-effective measures are in place.

Air Quality
Flood risk assessments are becoming a standard requirement in many
areas that are susceptible to flooding and for sites over a specified
area.
Knight Environmental Limited has recognised the need for
this with many of our customers and have developed the in-house expertise
for undertaking flood risk assessments using Environment Agency
accepted methodology outlined in the 'flood estimation handbook' (FEH). Knight Environmental Limited is able to assist our
customers at the earliest stages of the planning process thus minimising
delays, the number of specialist sub-contractors and streamlining
the environmental inputs for our customers.
Knight Environmental Limited ensure that Health
and Safety are of utmost importance on all of our contracts. For
all elements of proposed site works risk assessments are carried out
and any possible mitigating measures are employed. From the smallest
job to the largest contract, we ensure that all our staff have regular
Health & Safety training and specific inductions with respect
to contaminants at each particular site.
Where appropriate, our staff are trained in the use and care of PPE, and have confined spaces certification, all appropriate CITB certificates and work to approved method statements. We can also provide Principal Contractor and Planning Supervisor role for our clients, being fully aware of our responsibilities under CDM (1994).
Within our Health and safety remit we are able to undertake noise and vibration surveys to assess the impact of our works on both neighbouring site users and the site-workers.
Knight Environmental Limited has qualified staff
and retain specialist associates to carry out air quality surveys
and risk assessments. We can offer monitoring programmes tailor-made
to meet the needs of the regulatory authorities, and in cases where
the risk from poor air quality is significant, we will specify mitigating
measures for each site.
