Preferred specialisations: Flood risk assessment and SUDS.
A candidate who is either chartered or close to chartered in a relevant professional body, with experience of working in either consultancy and/or contracting in one of more of the following fields: environmental, engineering.

Preferred experience:
The following is an indication of the preferred skills / experience that the successful candidate is likely to have:

Project management of several projects at any one time to ensure completion of project within timescales and budget.
Flood risk assessment.
A knowledge and understanding of flood based hydraulic models (preferably MIKE11) and Flood Estimation Handbook techniques.
Supervision of fieldworks and less-experienced colleagues.
Preparation of factual, technical and interpretative reports.
Capable of professional liaison with the Regulatory Authorities.
Good knowledge of current planning and environmental legislation.
Familiarity with ISO9000 and ISO14000.
